Happy Energy, a subsidiary of the Solar Energy Industry Association, announced it had won a $200,000 prize from the American Solar Energy Association (ASEA) for a solar energy watch that shows customers how much they can earn from their energy bills.
Happy Energy says its Solar EnergyWatch app will help consumers understand how much energy they can save on their bills by signing up to receive the service.
The app will be available for free from the beginning of the year, the company said.
Happy is one of many solar energy start-ups that have been developing solar energy tracking services in recent years.
In January, the Associated Press reported that the Solar Investment Coalition (SIC), which has received funding from the SunEdison Foundation, a private investment firm, had begun developing solar tracking services.
SIC’s CEO, David Pinto, has been a longtime advocate for solar energy.
In 2012, Pinto was appointed as chair of the board of directors for SunEdson.
Happy energy, which is based in California, aims to “create an accurate, easy-to-use, and easy- to-use-for-everyone service for people who want to monitor their energy costs,” according to its website.
The company’s website also says that its service will provide consumers with a dashboard that shows their solar costs for the month, as well as the amount they will save over the next two years.
The website also shows how much solar energy a customer can get by signing on for a $10 monthly solar installation.
The data collected by the service will be used to inform Happy Energy’s solar energy strategy, which includes “improving customer experience and customer loyalty,” according the company.
HappyEnergy says its solar energy watches will be delivered to customers’ homes through the Happy Energy Solar App.
Customers can also monitor their solar energy use using a widget in the app.
Customers will also receive a free solar power plan and other helpful tips, the HappyEnergy website says.
In a blog post, HappyEnergy CEO Chris Dickey said the solar energy monitoring service will help customers better understand their energy bill.
“Solar energy is becoming an increasingly important and important part of our daily lives,” Dickey wrote.
“Our solar energy monitors will help you monitor how much you can save over time, and help you better understand your energy bill.”
