Outsider

Why did you come to New York just to be homeless? This really should have been the first clue that the people who are supposed to help people like those in my family didn’t want to waste their time on someone like us. It’s the same everywhere you go though I suppose, especially now with… Continue reading Outsider

Chaos Theory

While most people settled down on Christmas eve with bellies full of dinner after a tiring day of unwrapping presents and spending time with family, my family curled up in the back of a 2000 Ford Explorer thankful for the mild night during winter. After having to leave the house we were staying in and… Continue reading Chaos Theory

No One Bothered to Stop

I suppose some part… Continue reading Moving On

They put them in dog kennels.

The time has come for us to stand up as one to speak out against this inhumane treatment of Native Americans, protect a water source for millions of people, and to protect sacred burial grounds. Since I cannot make it to Standing Rock personally, I am doing everything that I can to spread awareness of what is happening there. Together as one, we can make a difference.

Devastated

Never before, in my thirty-two years have I ever been this completely devastated by the actions of a political figurehead. Anyone that follows me on Facebook or Twitter knows that I was a Bernie Sanders supporter and I was really cheering for him to take the presidential candidacy for the Democratic party, and even become… Continue reading Devastated
